The reason why you are not losing weight is simple…
You are eating too many calories for the amount of activity that you do during the day/week.
Eating a specific diet for your body type or blood type (which is absolute nonsense by the way) is not going to cause you to lose weight. Being in a calorie deficit will.
Eating a magical macronutrient split is not going to cause you to lose weight. Being in a calorie deficit will.
Eating a Ketogenic Diet, a Low Carb Diet, Low Fat Diet, Paleo Diet, Zone Diet, Ornish Diet, Cambridge Diet, Atkins Diet is not going to cause you to lose weight. Being in a calorie deficit will.
Now, I’m not saying that these diets or eating styles do not cause you to lose weight. They do. But the reason why they work is that you end up eating less calories in some way or another which creates a calorie deficit.
No magic. No mumbo jumbo. No matter what your pseudoscience guru says.
So lets get back to it.
You aren’t losing weight be cause you eat too much. “Obviously” I hear you say, “but that doesn’t really help me”.
Here is the first thing to do:
Track Your Calories:
This is really easy nowadays with apps such as ‘MyFitness Pal’. All you need to do is scan the barcodes on most food or search the foods in the encyclopaedia. Track everything you eat, drink, lick. Everything. Once you have done that then you can start doing something about creating a calorie deficit.
Losing weight does take work, consistency and some restriction. You must take ownership of what you eat and the exercise/activity you do or don’t do.
